Information and Resources to Help You Manage COVID-19 at Home
Mt Eden Village Doctors
COVID-19 is now widespread in the community, and for most people, and especially for those who are vaccinated, it will cause a mild, self-limiting illness that can be safely managed at home.
With high daily case numbers, New Zealand's response has now shifted to a model of self-management, where individuals with COVID-19 are provided with information and encouraged to access health or welfare services as required. The focus for health professionals will be on assisting those who reach out for help, and proactively supporting those who are deemed to be at high risk of complications. A small number of people with COVID-19 will become more unwell, and it is crucial that if you are isolating at home with COVID-19 and you have severe or worsening symptoms, you must inform a health professional (see below for contact information).
For those of you who test positive for COVID-19, this one page summary may answer a number of your questions. Alternatively, the information and resources below can help answer more specific questions. Responses to enquiries we have had recently can be found at the end of this page.
Phone our receptionist or nurse on 09-6306981, or email us via our website.. Please indicate whether your concern is urgent when you make contact with us. One of our doctors or nurses will call you back for a consultation to assess your health. There is no cost to this service.
